Request for account activation at KESCO
If you changed location or temporarily closed your business, and as a result have deactivated your KESCO account, you can reactivate it if the same account has been staying passive for no longer than 24 months.
If the time that an account has been passive is longer than 24 months, then you must follow the same procedure as for New Connections, although for such requests the connection fee will not apply.
Whereas, the reactivation of your KESCO account within the predetermined time deadline is done by making a request at the Customer Service counters, at the KESCO offices in your district.
To make this request you must:
•Visit our Customer Service counters.
• Have an identification document with you, as well as notarization authorization if you are applying for someone else.
• Fill in the application form, clearly indicating the concrete account number you want to activate and submit this form at the KESCO counters.
• In cases where there is a change of name from the previous name, the same conditions apply as for requests for name change.
Note that if the account you want to activate is in the name of a person who has passed away, then you must bring the death certificate of that person, as well as the personal certificate of the person applying, which proves that you are the heir.
Field activities related to account activation are performed by the System Operator, while the implementation of data in the database and notification of the customer for the status of the request is done by KESCO.
After submitting your request, it will be analyzed by relevant experts and if it is found that the conditions are met in accordance with applicable regulations, the field operations team is instructed to install the meter at your location.
Activation of your account will take no more than 30 days from the moment you make the request at our counters.
The relevant expenses will be billed to you together with the first electricity consumption bill received from the customer.
Congratulation! Your account is now activated and you can start consuming electricity!
