Explanation from KESCO regarding bills sent to customers
KESCO announces that from Friday (February 18) it was started with the regular reading of the consumption status for February and respectively the sending of new bills.
As we explained in the previous press release, the expense was calculated and divided before February 9 (old tariffs) and from February 9 (new tariffs).
The bill design approved by ERO has been adapted to the billing needs according to the changes of the new tariff structure.
Calculations by blocks are presented according to the regular reading and the newly approved structure.
Also, the section "Net" is presented the total expenditure of consumers.
However, because the new tariffs are being applicable from February 9 and the part spent before February 9 is calculated with the old tariffs, in the section "Bill total" is presented the obligation that consumers have to pay and the same is lower than the value presented in the 'Net' section.
The difference between "Net" and “Bill total" is sharp as a result of the calculation of consumption with old tariffs before February 9 and the counting from zero of the block from February 9, regardless of the expenditure that consumers have made until February 9.
This difference is explained at the bottom of the bill, in textual (written) form, including the days for which the old tariffs were applied.
The=e calculation will be much simpler for the next bills since the whole month will be calculated according to the new tariffs, the values between the rubrics ‘Net + VAT’ and “Bill total” will be equal.
To make it easier to read the bill and the logic of the calculation, the calculation form has been integrated into the KESCO website where the customer will enter the data, in which case the detailed calculation of the last bill will be generated including the division of kilowatts before and after February 9, the calculation of each kilowatt at the respective price, as well as the number of kilowatts billed in the block with raised tariffs.
