KESCO Calls for Electricity Saving Due to High Import Levels
KESCO informs consumers that it is currently facing a high level of imported electricity and elevated purchase prices on the market, which creates additional pressure on meeting demand and managing supply costs.
Over the past two days, around 50% of electricity consumption in Kosovo has been covered through imports.
This reliance on imports is associated with high costs, especially during a period when electricity is also needed by other countries in the region and market demand is increased.
In this context, KESCO calls on consumers to save electricity, particularly during peak hours, in order to jointly reduce the need for imports and the related costs. Saving energy is in the common interest and helps preserve the stability of electricity supply.
KESCO will continue to closely monitor the situation and take all necessary actions to ensure a stable and reliable electricity supply for consumers. We thank citizens for their understanding and cooperation.
