Dear Customer,

The following are some written guidelines and practical advice for consuming more efficient and energy saving, which will help you to manage your expenses on electricity and how can you save electricity by helping yourself and others.

This is one of the ways our company strives to provide information and special services always at customer service.

ISOLATION
  • Create the possibility of thermal isolation of buildings and spaces, residential, business, office, because it can save about 50% of what is spent for heating in winter and summer ambient cooling. With this you will help yourself to save money.
  • Isolate windows and doors.
  • A portion of heat is lost through windows and doors without being well isolated. Besides the walls, insulate also the roofs of houses.
  • At night close windows caps or covers because they hamper the flow of the cold inside, close the curtains because they prevent the emergence of heat outside.
  • Keep windows closed and doors of rooms, in order to preserve the accumulated heat in those areas, while during the summer to maintain freshness.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEATING OR COOLING

It is advisable if possible not to use electricity as their primary source for heating in winter, or cooling of the environment during the summer, but if you have no other option and have to use electricity, then here are some guidelines and tips:

Thermo accumulators, radiators

  • Store heat in thermo accumulators during the night, when consumption is low fee (cheaper)
  • Change the thermo heaters if they are old, because they consume and they don’t heat enough.
  • Check the thermostat to function well, because no thermostat function presents a danger to people and objects.
  • Adjust the thermostat temperature, to be by 18°C - 21°C, preferably as internal temperatures.
  • Do not use thermos and radiators for drying of clothes, because besides the loss of heat, it can cause fire.
  • Use rationally accumulative thermos and radiators during the winter, spend about 60% of the total electrical energy to a household.
  • If you are not in the building a few days, unlock (switch off) thermos and radiators.
  • If you set the thermostat a few degrees lower than usual, then you will save about 10% of spending.
  • Before going to sleep, reduce the temperature of thermostat because it is healthier and you will save.

Microwave oven

  • Use of the microwave is more efficient, more economical, consumes about 50% less electricity than ordinary electric furnaces.
ELECTRIC STOVE
  • During cooking, adjust the adequate temperature, put the cover in the pot lid to save heat, and so it reduces the cooking time.
  • After reaching the temperature at 100°C, then after simmering, lower the temperature.
  • Use container whose end is the size of the stove plate or container whose end is slightly larger than the stove plates.
  • The use of express containers for cooking with steam rushes cooking, and is more economical.
  • When preparing food in the oven, you should know that any opening of the door of the oven decreases temperature about 15°C.
  • Before you finished cooking 2 - 3 minutes stop the plate, or 5 - 10 minutes before baking is finished turn off the oven, because with this action you will save.
  • Replace the plates of stove or oven heaters if they are old.
WATER HEATER (BOILER)
  • Depending on use, type, and capacity, boiler uses approximately 15% of overall consumption in household.
  • To use more rationally the boiler, set the thermostat at temperatures between 50°C - 55° C.
  • Change the boiler if it is old, ore replace only heater if it is old.
  •  If you are not at home for more than a day, switch off the boiler.
  • Make sure that the boiler thermostat is always in good condition, because if the thermostat does not work, water is heated without control and can pose a danger to people, it can explode.
  • Approximately 15 - 30% of energy is spent just to keep warm water in the boiler.
  • Use automatic battery for adjustment (balancing) of cold and hot water.
WASHING MACHINES, DRYING
  • Machines for washing dishes, washing and drying clothes, also form part of overall consumption.
  •  If you decide to buy a new machine for washing dishes, machine for washing or drying clothes, then orient yourself in high quality and more economical products, check the manufacturer's instructions where are written the main features, and then decide which is more economical.
  • Place the machine in dry places and not at all in places with moisture, because moisture transmits electricity and poses a danger to people, also check to be OK electricity wires, cables, and spins. Also make sure that pipes for taking and emptying the water are well established.
  • Preferable to always wash a full load, but if the machine is half loaded, then use the economic program. Consumption of electricity is the same whether a full load, half load either.
  • Cleaning the laundry can be also done in lower water temperature, by adjusting the regulator of machine, because most detergents are produced in order to clean also in lukewarm or even cold water.
  • Machine for drying clothes also is preferred to be filled (full load).
  • Do not dry too much your clothes, because excessive drying may make them tight, wrinkled and will be hard to press them.
  • Use these devices at night with low fee/tariff (cheaper).
CONDITIONERS, VENTILATORS
  • Air Conditioner (climate) can be used for heating in winter, or cooling the internal environment during the summer.
  • If using air conditioners for heating, not set the temperature higher than 19°C.
  • If the uses of ambient cooling air conditioners for the summer, do not set the temperature lower than 26°C - 28°C.
  • Keep doors and windows closed while it is turned on the system for heating or cooling.
  • Perform cleaning of filters, and make sure to have good water drainage in air conditioner.
  • Ventilators also refresh the environment by drawing fresh air in, and removing the hot air out, simultaneously performing air cleaning. Can be placed central ventilator for the whole house, and is more economical.
REFRIGERATOR, FREEZER

If you decide to buy a new refrigerator or freezer, then orientate in higher quality products class "A" or "B" because they are more durable and more economical.

  • Set the thermostat of the refrigerator at temperatures between 3°C and 5°C, and the freezer at 0°C.
  • Refrigerator or freezer door to keep open as little as possible, and be careful that the door is well closed, because warm air enters and loses freshness, so they need more time to restore preliminary condition.
  • Hot or warm food don’t put in the refrigerator or freezer, leave to cool and then put inside them.
  • Do not allow moisture in the refrigerator, cover the dishes of food, clean water droplets from all the dishes and bottles you put in it.
  • Do not let the thickness of ice formed in the refrigerator and freezer, defrost and clean them, because they will be more effective and more economical.
LIGHTENING
  • Lighting is listed as the most visible use of electricity in internal and external areas.
  • You can take some simple steps to reduce your lighting costs, and this move will help yourself and the surroundings, so that others also can have light.
  • Do not leave lights on in spaces that you don’t use.
  •  In outer space if it is not necessary, do not leave many lights aglow.
  • If you use more light, then orientate in the use of fluorescent lights, cold (of neon).
  • Replace incandescent lights, warm, (ordinary electric bulbs) with fluorescent lights, cold (of neon).
  • Fluorescent Lights (of neon) use 75% less electricity, and stay 10 times longer than regular incandescent lights, they are much more economical, and you will save.
  •  In certain areas you can install sensors which are activated only when there is movement, and thus you will save your budget.
